Club president Keith

put in to organising the evening and the club’s social events throughout
the year. He commented that the social events needed much more thought
now, because of ageing membership in the club.
He thanked the other
officers on his ‘forward-looking committee’ – secretary David Kennedy,
treasurer Mike Eastwood, speakers secretary Gary Davies and publicity
officer Jeff Morris. He also thanked Alan Estaugh for designing the
club’s website and webmaster Jim Hamilton for keeping it up to date.
The toast to ‘The
Queen’ was proposed by vice-president John Harley, who will become the
club’s oldest serving president when he takes over from Keith at the AGM
this month. Keith thanked everyone for their support during his year of
office and mentioned that the club would next year be celebrating its 30th
anniversary.
